Emma’s Hugs was founded to honor our third child, Emma, who was diagnosed in the summer of 2008 with a neurodegenerative disorder known as Batten Disease. The disease currently has no cure and is always fatal. Emma lost her battle with Batten Disease February 1, 2010, one month shy of her fourth birthday.
Emma’s Hugs is our way of memorializing the time in Emma’s life as a sweet toddler when she gave great hugs. It is our goal to assist families who are in the Texas Medical Center with “random acts of kindness,” if you will. We desire to randomly pay for parking with no regard to anything other than people being there.
Thank you for stopping by. We hope you will look around and read the stories. We appreciate your support and pray you are inspired to join this cause.
