KHOU Channel 11

Emma's Hugs had the pleasure of taking Sherry Williams with them while they gave parking chips to families in the Texas Medical Center. Mrs. Williams interviewed Kelvin and Christy Dunnam, the founders of Emma's Hugs, and will include the story on her "What's Right" segment. Click here to watch the segment.

Thank you, Sherry and KHOU-11 for your interest in our organization!

Emma's Bayou Bash

Emma's Bayou Bash is an annual fundraising event benefitting Emma's Hugs. Emma's Bayou Bash began as a benefit hosted by friends for Emma Dunnam, the inspiration for Emma's Hugs. After her passing, Emma's Bayou Bash became Emma's Hugs' primary fundraiser. The event begins with a motorcycle ride ending at the site of Emma's Bayou Bash. There is fun for all ages including food, bouncy houses, face painting, live music, and live and silent auctions. Please check back or check Facebook or Twitter for information for our next fundraising event!

Team Emma's Hugs

We would like to introduce John Mohr. He is an avid runner and triathlon competitor who has been inspired by Emma’s Hugs’ mission and has decided to fundraise for our organization in conjunction with his races. John has designed a beautiful Team Emma’s Hugs jersey for triathlon competitions and bike races. We think he did a splendid job! He also purchased some of the Emma’s Hugs sportswear and wore it on several different occasions at races around the Houston area and the country! If you are interested in purchasing a Team Emma’s Hugs jersey and rallying support for our organization in your area, please contact John at John.Mohr@cubist.com. If you are interested in sporting some of our Emma’s Hugs sportswear at your next 5K, marathon, ½ marathon, or just every day training, click on the “Shop” button. We have men’s and ladies Cool-Max tanks, Cool-Max t-shirts, and Cool-Max caps available. Thank you for considering Emma’s Hugs when you run, walk, bike, hike or swim!

Discount Tire Company's Driven to Care Program

We were recipients of a grant from Discount Tire Company’s Driven to Care Program. The $5000 gift is going directly to parking costs for patients at Texas Children’s Hospital. Thank you Discount Tire! If you need new tires, Discount is the place to shop!

Lubrizol Foundation Gift

The Lubrizol Corporation of Ohio has added Emma’s Hugs to their recipient list of grants from the Lubrizol Foundation. In addition to their $1000 gift they have also matched the gifts of many of their employees. Thank you Lubrizol!

M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Fund

M.D. Anderson Cancer Center FundEarlier this year Emma’s Hugs established a designated fund at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. This fund provides $100 parking vouchers to patients and families in their stem cell transplant program. These folks are in the hospital for 100 days and need all the help they can get with parking. MDACC, thanks for letting us help!

Stay tuned for more updates!
